Jim is well known for great customer service, consistent communication, strong attention to detail, and ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved, from policyholders to partner agencies. As a trusted insurance advisor, his goal is long-term relationships and mutual success.

Jim joined The MEMIC Group in 2016 as a Senior Production Underwriter working with agents in Connecticut to cultivatenew and renewal business. He began his career in the insurance industry at OneBeacon Insurance Group in 1999 as a personal lines claims adjuster before moving to underwriting in 2001. In 2005, he joined Utica National Insurance as a Lead Underwriter, and he moved to The Hartford in 2008 as Executive Underwriter maintaining an $8-10 million renewal book in addition to writing new business.

Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a Minor in Business Law from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. He has earned his Certificate in General Insurance (INS), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), and Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP®) designations.

Originally from North Reading, Mass., Jim lives in Wilmington with his wife and two children. Active in the community, he coaches youth hockey and baseball.
